8 Day Tanzania Treasure

Arusha, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti, Lake Manyara - Experience the best of Tanzanian game parks, from marvelling at ancient baobab trees to the thrill of observing the big five. Witness a parade of wildlife on your memorable Tanzanian lodge safari.

 

Itinerary 


Day 1 Arusha 

You will be met at the Kilimanjaro International Airport upon arrival and driven to your hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 2 Tarangire National Park

Set out for Tarangire where you may glimpse your favourite wildlife on the afternoon game drive.

 

Day 3 Ngorongoro

Depart for Ngorongoro where you will descend 600 metres to traverse the crater floor, exploring the forest and the open savannah. Watch for predators hunting.

 

Day 4 Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti National Park

Take in Olduvai Gorge on route to the famous Serengeti, where you will observe great herds on your afternoon game drive.

 

Days 5+6 Serengeti National Park

Cross the savannah, picnics in hand, as you spy on your favourite wildlife during a full day game drive.

 

Day 7 Lake Manyara National Park

Roam the savannah on your morning game drive before departing for Lake Manyara.  Take in refreshing waterfalls on route.

 

Day 8 Depart

Scout out the wildlife this morning on a game drive before departing for the airport and your departure.

Lake Manyara National Park

Favoured haunt of legendary tree-climbing lions, Manyara's variety of habitats parallels its exceptional scenery. Every imaginable East African animal is found here in abundance including great herds of buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and hippo.

 

Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area

This World Heritage Site is ranked among the most pristine wildernesses on earth. It is the largest intact crater in the world, covering an area of 540 square km and is jam packed with wildlife, including all the big game.

 

Serengeti National Park

This UNESCO World Heritage Site, famed for its annual migration, from October to June, when 2 million animals move through the park to graze before they head north into Kenya. Big cats dominate at all times of year. Great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.
