BenefacTours (Volunteer while Adventuring) Safaris East Africa
7 Day Classic Kenya

Nairobi, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara - Encounter the abundance of wildlife on this Kenya tour.  Your first game drive will have you gazing at the snows of Mount Kilimanjaro. Sense the thrill of watching the big five - elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard and lions on your unforgettable Kenya safari vacation.

Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi
You will be met at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and driven to The Crowne Plaza Hotel for overnight rest and relaxation before embarking on your Kenyan adventure.

Day 2 Amboseli
After breakfast at your hotel, set off for Amboseli National Reserve, located at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, 5895 meter Mount Kilimanjaro.  We will arrive at Serena Lodge in time for lunch.  Enjoy your first Amboseli game drive where the snows of Mount Kilimanjaro form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, and buffalo.  Greet matriarch elephants with their huge families in tow while you explore the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Amboseli
An early wake up call will be followed by tea or coffee before your morning game drive.  Watch predators hunting, search for your favourite African animals, admire the vastness of the plain.  Then, back to the lodge where breakfast awaits.  You will have some free time to laze by the pool, have lunch or visit the gift shop for mementos of your African adventure before your afternoon game drive. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, we leave Amboseli for Lake Nakuru National Park, stopping on route in Nairobi for lunch. Lake Nakuru is a soda lake on the basin of the Rift Valley. The main attraction to this national park is the large concentration of flamingos that flock seasonally to feed on the blue-green algae.  Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park and spot resident rhinos or search for elusive leopards while you enjoy your afternoon game drive. Drive to Lion Hill Lodge for check in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 Maasai Mara
Leave Nakuru for Maasai Mara National Reserve, the perfect wildlife sanctuary.  Lunch is served upon your arrival at Mara Serena Lodge. The greatest animal spectacle in the world - The Great Migration, occurs here every year.  Besides the numerous zebras and wildebeests, the park hosts rhino, giraffe, topi, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, jackals, hyena, hippo and much more.  This park, which is an extension of Tanzania's Serengeti, has more wildlife than anywhere in East Africa.  The Maasai tribe, who live and graze their herds on the outskirts of the park, enjoy a peaceful co-existence with the wildlife.  Enjoy a 2 hr game drive in the Mara and then back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Maasai Mara
An early wake up call and a quick cup of tea or coffee before your morning game drive begins.  Look out for your favourite wildlife as they begin their day in the Mara, marvel at the abundance of antelope species, catch a glimpse of big cats hunting. Return to the lodge where breakfast awaits.  Laze by the pool, have lunch or visit the gift shop before your afternoon game drive where it is possible to observe the big five in action.  Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
