BenefacTours (Volunteer while Adventuring) Safaris East Africa
6 Day Essential

Nairobi, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara.  Encounter some of the 1200 elephants and the other big five, while gazing at Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, meet thousands of flamingos, and watch the great spectacle of the wildebeest migration in the Maasai Mara. Witness it all on your Kenyan wildlife safari.

Itinerary

Day 1 Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to The Sankara Hotel for overnight rest and relaxation before starting your Kenyan safari.

Day 2 Amboseli
After breakfast at your hotel, leave Nairobi for Amboseli National Reserve, located at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.  We will arrive at Serena Lodge in time for lunch.  Survey the vastness of the plain on your first 2 hour afternoon game drive in Amboseli where the snows of Mount Kilimanjaro form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, and buffalo.  Dinner and overnight will be spent back at the lodge.

Day 3 Lake Nakuru
Arise early for a morning game drive.  After breakfast at the lodge, we leave Amboseli and proceed towards Nakuru via Nairobi. We will stop for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, and proceed to Lake Nakuru and the Lion Hill Lodge. Lake Nakuru is a soda lake on the basin of the Rift Valley. The main attraction to this national park is the large concentration of flamingos that flock seasonally to feed on the blue-green algae.  You may spot resident rhinos or elusive leopards as you enjoy your afternoon game drive.  head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Maasai Mara
Leave Nakuru and carry on to Maasai Mara, the perfect wildlife sanctuary.  Lunch is served upon your arrival at Sarova Mara Lodge. The greatest animal spectacle in the world - The Great Migration, occurs here every year.  Besides the numerous zebras and wildebeests, the park hosts rhino, giraffe, topi, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, jackals, hyena, hippo and much more.  This park, which is an extension of Tanzania's Serengeti, has more wildlife than anywhere in East Africa.  The Maasai, who live and graze their herds on the outskirts of the park, enjoy a peaceful co-existence with the wildlife.  Roam the savannah on a 2 hr game drive and then back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Maasai Mara
An early wake up call will be followed by a cup of tea or coffee before a morning game drive where you can look for your favourite animals waking up and drinking or feeding.  Then, back to the lodge where breakfast awaits.  You will then have some free time to laze by the pool, have lunch or visit the gift shop before your afternoon game drive. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
