SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1 - Friday
Our 4 day camping safari starts in Jinja, on the edge of the Nile. We drive through to Kampala, making a brief stop at Garden City Shopping Mall to collect anyone joining us before heading north through the famous Luwero Triangle.   A filling lunch is taken at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you have the option of walking through the well managed reserve to see the newly introduced White Rhino of which there are six, two of whom have young calves. We continue our drive north, arriving at Masindi, the gateway town to the national park, by early evening.
Camping at Masindi New Court View Guest House
Meals included: Lunch & Dinner
Optional Rhino Walk

Day 2 - Saturday
It's an early start and after a light breakfast you head off for an optional guided chimp trek through the Budongo Forest Reserve in search of man's closest relative. The sounds of the chimps carry through the forest, so approaching these creatures in their natural habitat is a fantastic wildlife viewing experience.  We return to our vehicle and drive into Murchison Falls National Park and have lunch at the Red Chilli Hideaway. In the afternoon we jump aboard the Paraa car ferry and take the short journey across the Nile and onto the northern bank of the park.  We game drive through the park around to the beautiful Delta Point and set up camp against the back-drop of the Blue Mountains of the Congo.  With a sundowner in our hand we'll arrange our chairs around the fire and enjoy a BBQ listening to the sounds of the wild.
Wild Camping on the Delta
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Optional Chimp Trek at Budongo Forest

Day 3 - Sunday
You'll be up with the sun this morning as we go for an early morning game drive.   Returning to camp you have breakfast before game driving back through the park, towards the ferry.   After lunch we head to the jetty for the infamous boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, which will carry you to the base of Murchison Falls. En-route you'll see a variety of animals - hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck, elephants and incredible birdlife all drinking at the water's edge.  The boat stops around 50 metres from the base of the falls, allowing ample time to take some wonderful photos.  From there we jump onto the bank for a guided walk to the top of the falls.  Our final night is spent camping next to this outrageously impressive volume of water whilst your safari cook prepares dinner.
Bush Camping at the Top of the Falls

Day 4 - Monday
