The park's diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers swamps, lakes and volcanic craters are home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. In the afternoon, we take the boat launch on the Kazinga Channel where hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffalo will be in great abundance either at the waters edge, or along side your boat! This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. Proceed for dinner and overnight at a safari lodge.
Day 2 Queen Elizabeth National Park We start the day with an early morning game drive providing excellent opportunities for photography, bird watching and possibly viewing lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species. In the afternoon, take another game drive in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop. The prolific bird life is colourful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species.
